In the coming days, the Transit and Land Transportation Authority (ATTT) will make the official announcement regarding the implementation of the digital driver’s license throughout the national territory. The director of the ATTT, Nicolás Brea, indicated that traffic inspectors have been trained on the operation of the new format and that a technological verification was previously carried out to ensure that both the system and the cybersecurity elements are enabled. The corresponding legal processes will be completed before the issuance of the license becomes available.
Requirements to Apply For and Use the Digital License:
- Have a valid physical driver’s license.
- Be in good standing with the ATTT.
- Complete the registration process on the official platform https://panamaconecta.gob.pa/menu
The cost of the digital license is estimated to be between $7.00 and $9.00, taking into account the concessionaire’s investment. This digital document can be used for all procedures that require the presentation of a driver’s license.
