Sex Extortion Ring Captured in Panama: Three Alleged Members
The investigations into sexual extortion took place in the districts of San Francisco, Juan Díaz and El Chorrillo.
Three people, including two men (one of Colombian nationality) and a woman, were arrested by National Police units during Operation ECFO. The suspects are alleged to be linked to a criminal network dedicated to sexual extortion within the country. According to investigations carried out by the authorities, the criminal group operated under a specific digital modality:
- Two of those arrested today lured their potential victims through interactions on online dating applications.

According to the investigation, two of those apprehended are linked to extortion incidents recorded after contacts made through online dating applications. The proceedings took place in the neighborhoods of San Francisco, Juan Díaz, and El Chorrillo. Technological equipment was also seized.
