25 Arrested During an Operation in Penonomé Panama: A Major Blow to Micro-Trafficking
The National Police are continuing their investigations and further arrests are not ruled out as the case progresses.
In Penonomé, Coclé province, a joint operation between the National Police and the Public Ministry ended with the arrest of 25 people, allegedly linked to a network dedicated to drug micro-trafficking. The actions were carried out during simultaneous raids at various points in the district, as part of an investigation into the crime against collective security, in the form of possession and sale of illicit substances.
During the operation, small quantities of illicit substances were seized, along with cash and technological equipment that, according to authorities, are linked to the investigated organization. At one of the locations raided, a site was also discovered that was allegedly used to drop drugs into a prison. The National Police are continuing their investigations and further arrests are possible as the case progresses, while operations continue in the province of Coclé.
