American Man Wanted in Oklahoma was Captured in Barú Panama Working as a Manager

A U.S. citizen, wanted since 2012 by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma, has been captured. A 73-year-old U.S. citizen, who worked as a manager for a multi-service company in Puerto Armuelles, was arrested for extradition purposes after being requested by a U.S. federal court.

The Superior Court of Appeals of the province of Chiriquí ordered the provisional detention, for extradition purposes, of a U.S. citizen wanted in the United States for the alleged crimes of money laundering and corrupt practices abroad. The man was hiding in Puerto Armuelles, in the district of Barú, province of Chiriquí. Investigations reveal that the detainee is wanted by a federal court in Oklahoma, United States, for violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and money laundering, related to alleged bribes given to officials in Panama and Mexico to benefit a foreign company.
