Judge Ninoska Montero filed charges for the alleged crimes of intentional homicide and robbery, and ordered the provisional detention of Orlando Cuesta for the murder of prosecutor Patricia Ossa, which occurred on Monday night in the Pueblo Nuevo area. During the hearing, the prosecution revealed that Patricia Ossa had told colleagues she was afraid of her partner after they separated last March.  During the hearing, Homicide and Femicide Prosecutor Jorge Ferguson argued that there was no justification for the act committed against the victim using a firearm. It was also revealed that Cuesta held a valid gun permit.
