Recovering Well after Surgery in Herrera is a Rescued Jaguarundi

The jaguarundi, who was found injured after a suspected hit-and-run, is progressing favorably in his recovery under strict rehabilitation protocols after surgery.

One month after undergoing complex orthopedic surgery, the jaguarundi pictured below and rescued from a road in the province of Herrera is showing positive progress. The Ministry of the Environment (MiAmbiente) confirmed that the results of the latest evaluation are “very positive,” highlighting a healing process without complications. 

The animal, which was found injured after a suspected hit-and-run, is progressing in its recovery under strict rehabilitation protocols.  The process has had the specialized support of Dr. Andrés Bailey, from the Vet Médicas Service clinic.  MiAmbiente maintains a step-by-step management process to ensure that the feline regains its full mobility.
