Broadway will demand vaccines and masks
Broadway theaters will require the public to be vaccinated and wear a mask at all shows, the New York theater industry said on Friday, July 30, as the United States extends the mandatory vaccination against Covid-19.
Performers and show and theater staff should also be immunized, the Broadway League said
The rules will apply until October in all 41 Broadway theaters, the association said.
The masks will be mandatory except for eating or drinking in specific areas
“A uniform policy across New York City Broadway will make it simpler for our audiences and should give more confidence in how Broadway addresses public safety,” said Charlotte St. Martin, president of the association.
