Underground parking contracts go to newly hatched companies

Panama’s new underground parking lots will be built by two companies,  formed just 63 days before the contacts were awarded by the city.

The companies are Plaza Parking, SA States and Estacionamientos Unidos,S.A.
Plaza Parking will construct a site under Parque Harry Strunz, on Calle 50,  opposite the Global Tower

The second company,  will develop parking lots under Francisco Arias Paredes and Parque Porras, both on Avenida Peru.
Public record information reveals that Plaza Parking, SA States and Parking, Inc. were constituted on January 24, 2013, ie 28 days before the convening of the second bidding (February 21) to award projects.
The first call was held in December 2012, but no contracts were awarded.
The two companies have one thing in common says La Prensa. Their boards are composed of Ivan Bernal, president, Antonio Alvaro Lopez, treasurer, and Antonella Della Valle, secretary. Shareholders are Juan Carlos Antonio Alvaro Lopez and Alvaro Lopez. 
The latter appear as president and treasurer of TX Panama, SA, which since July 2010 has provided technolog, for billing and collection of municipal taxes in the  capital.
