Government minister hospitalized with snake bite
A GOVERNMENT cabinet minister was flown from Cocle to a Panama hospital on Sunday, June 9, after being bitten by a poisonous snake.
Minister of Agricultural Development Oscar Osorio is in stable condition He was treated with serum at the Olá Health Clinic and then taken to the Dr. Rafael Estávez Regional Hospital in Aguadulce.
He was then air lifted to San Fernando Hospital in Panama City by the national air and naval agency Senan.
Aguadulce Deputy, Noriel Salerno said doctors were apparently having trouble stopping the bleeding caused by the reaction to the bite.
He was visited on Sunday afternoon by President Ricardo Martinelli.
