Martinelli to meet Pope Francis October 26

PRESIDENT Ricardo Martinelli has an audience with Pope Francisco on Saturday Oct. 26 says a statement from the presidency.

The Vatican establishes that a maximum of 10 people may accompany the president. After the meeting with the Pope, Martinelli will meet with the Secretary of State.

The invitation allowing the Panamanian president to visit the pontiff, who has been described as a man off joy and humility,  was received Oct. 3 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
