Suspect Charged In Lawyers Murder

THE FIRST suspect charged with the murder of Panamanian lawyer Juan Ramon Messina,  has been moved to a maximum security, cell in the La Joya prison .

Messina, a PRD delegate, was gunned down on September 23 while lunching with his wife Kathy ,at the Renato restaurant, in San Miguelito.

Felix Arguselles Paul Cordova , is the only one charged so far.

Judicial sources told La Prensa that Cordova Arguelles, was transferred after the Second Superior Prosecutor , determined there was legal merit to order his arrest .
The suspect stated in his testimony that he had nothing to do with the murder of the lawyer and the wound on his face was from another incident.
The defendant was arrested in Colon two days after the murder of Messina. A policeman who tried to arrest the murderers stated that a bullet had wounded one of the attackers.
The prosecutor Argentina Barrera has provided formal recognition to open a file for a witness of the crime to identify a second suspect.
