Assembly committee to discuss complaint against TE judge
THE CREDENTIALS Committee of the National Assembly will meet Friday. November 22 to discuss a complaint filed against Tribunal Electoral (TE) Judge Erasmo Pinilla.
Several members have already confirmed that they were told the commission would meet at 10 am reports La Prensa.
CD Deputy José Muñoz said that the leadership of the National Assembly reached a consensus to ask the members of the committee to reject the complaint as the National Assembly does not have the authority to discipline judges.
The Credentials Committee is composed of nine members and is led by CD Deputy Mario Miller.
The complaint was filed Wednesday by lawyer Honorio Quesada, who claimed a decision by Pinilla regarding campaign ads violated the Constitution.
