PRD infighting threatens presidential campaign

THE PRD lackluster presidential election campaign seems to be imploding before it has begun with the low visibility program annoying some of the party’s former leading lights including former president Perez Balladares who has said the party will lose if they don’t form a coalition.

On Sunday, December 1,  former PRD Secretary General Mitchell Doens reacted to a statement by party presidential candidate Juan Carlos Navarro, that he should leave the party.

"The one who should leave the PRD is Navarro," Doens said.
He added that the PRD presidential candidate has not done enough to win in the general election in May.
On Saturday Navarro said that Doens should either apologize for comments he made criticizing the candidate's campaign or resign from the party.
