Blandon distances himself from Mayor Bosco
PANAMA MAYORALTY candidate Jose Isabel Blandon says that unlike failed Mayor Bosco Vallarino he is preparing himself for the job. Vallarino became mayor in 2009 and resigned in January 2012.
"Bosco and I are completely different people. He became mayor by chance, without being prepared for it. I took two years of consultations. I will not be a mayor coming to improvise or to see what to do," said Blandon, who acted as adviser and front man for the stumbling Vallarinoduring his last year in office. said.
In an interview with La Prensa journalist Flor Mizrachi Angel on the "Sin Rodeos" program, which airs Wednesdays on Radio Panama, Blandon , currently deputy circuit 8-8 , said he would continue with the "finance theme" that began in the administration of Vallarino and revise current collection processes in the municipality.
The Panameñista also referred to the election of environmental activist,Raisa Banfield, as his candidate for Deputy Mayor.
According to Blandon, one of Banfield’s main roles will be to develop and oversee the development plan of the city.
