Navarro lays out plan for agriculture

PRD PRESIDENTIAL candidate Juan Carlos Navarro met with milk producers in Chiriquí on Tuesday to explain his plans for the agricultural section if he gets elected.

Navarro said that he would promote and strengthen the agricultural industry, and plans to give more "tools to the producers to be more efficient, so that it in turn they provide quality food to Panamanians."

He referred to the commitment he signed in Santiago, Veraguas, for the agricultural sector.
He said that his program includes building and improving roads to farms, ensuring supplies are available at good prices and helping producers lower costs to make the sector more competitive.
Navarro was accompanied by Laurentino Cortizo, who developed the plan.
