One dead, survivor of mid-air crash in ICU

 

 

 

Kevin Guerra, a 30-year-old pilot, a survivor of a mid-air plane crash on Friday in Changuinola, Bocas del Toro, remains in critical condition and with a reserved prognosis in the intensive care room of the Rafael Hernández Regional Hospital in David, Chiriquí. The other pilot died from his injuries.

The pilot was transferred by air, on January 6, to the Rafael Hernández de David Regional Hospital for the intensive care room where he is still fighting for his life.

Edgar Staff, head of the emergency medical services at the Regional Hospital, said that all specialized care is being given to this 30-year-old patient, so that after his stabilization, he can be removed from critical care.

Staff added that the pilot is very delicate due to the large amount of blood he lost and the multiple blows to his body as a result of the impact of the accident.

The plane crash occurred on the morning of Friday, January 6, when two aircraft, both from the ATOPAN Fumigation Company, collided in the area of ​​Finca 45 Changuinola, township of Guabito.

One pilot Martín Bogante died in the accident, while Kevin Guerra continues to fight for his life.
