Global Coffee Awards (GCA) is highlighting the producers behind coffees recognised in its 2026 US & Canada competition. Held on 10 and 11 August 2026, the competition brought together entries from roasters across the United States and Canada in five categories: Filter, Espresso, Flat White Dairy, Flat White Plant-Based Milk, and Ready to Drink (RTD).
GCA regional competitions span Asia, Europe, Latin America, MENA, and the US & Canada, with more than 4,000 entries worldwide.
Judging without reputation or branding
All coffees at Global Coffee Awards are evaluated through a strict double-blind protocol. Judges and coffee professionals preparing the samples receive no identifying information, ensuring coffees are assessed on quality rather than a roastery’s reputation, price point, marketing, or brand. Each sample was assessed by at least three judges plus a Head Judge.

From regional winners to the World Championship
The overall Gold, Silver, and Bronze category winners from the regional competitions will compete in the Global Coffee Awards World Championship at Producer & Roaster Forum Mexico on 18 and 19 March 2027 in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas. The event will culminate in the crowning of the new World Champions.
