New Hours Established for the Sale of Alcoholic Beverages by Panama City Hall.
The establishments must keep their documentation up to date and comply with national regulations, the Mayor’s Office of Panama reported.
The Municipality of Panama established, through Mayoral Decree No. 5 of August 4, 2026, new hours for establishments dedicated to the sale of alcoholic beverages in the capital district. Businesses will be able to operate under the following scheme:
- From Sunday to Wednesday: 9:00 am to 3:00 am
- From Thursday to Saturday: 9:00 am to 4:00 am
To operate after 11:59 pm, businesses must have a valid nighttime permit. The decree also includes special regulations for areas such as the Old Quarter, the Amador Causeway, and shopping malls with a minimum area of 100,000 square meters. Establishments must keep their documentation up to date and comply with national and municipal regulations regarding noise emissions, which will be enforced by the Mayor’s Office. The regulation will take effect seven calendar days after its promulgation.
