Tocumen International on track to surpass passenger transit record
Tocumen International Airport processed a total of 1,503,860 passengers, reaching a total of 18.2 million in 2023.
Raffoul Arab, general manager of the Airport, said that in the first 11 months of 2023, “we have equaled the historical passenger record of 2019.” According to Arab, everything indicates that there will be a new annual record of more than 17 million passengers at the air terminal at the end of December.
The Statistics Department of Tocumen highlighted that the markets with the greatest regional movement in November were South America with 46%, North America with 27% and the Caribbean with 12%. While Central American countries contributed a total of 11%, and European markets contributed a share of 4%. Some 31 airlines operate at Tocumen International 15 cargo airlines and 17 passenger airlines.
