Boxer wins 4th gold for Panama at Central American & Caribbean Games
Boxer Atheyna Bylon gave Panama its fourth gold medal of the XXIV Central American and Caribbean Games, which take place in El Salvador.
Bylon won the medal after defeating the Mexican Citlalli Ortíz by unanimous decision (5-0), in the final of the +75 kilograms category.
For Bylon, who has been the world champion in Olympic boxing, it is her first gold medal in a Central American and Caribbean Games,
Wednesday was productive for the Isthmus delegation after earlier the surfing representation added two gold medals.
Verónica Correa and Edwin Núñez took the honors in the Bodyboard Prone test, in their respective categories.
The other gold medal was won by gymnast Karla Navas.
The delegation also won three silver and three bronze medals.
