Health Ministry moves ro prevent store overcrowding

 

After thousands of women armed with digitalized government bonus coupons descended on supermarkets on Monday, May 4  and flouted social distancing rules, while police and store managers made little attempt to intervene, The Ministry of Health (Minsa) and the National Police to took action on Tuesday to ensure that people in line keep a distance of one meter. They also

point out that businesses have a responsibility to organize the lines.

Cases of people arriving at times that don’t match the time linked to their cedula number   will be issued citations for repeat offenses

Health Minister Rosario Turner clarified that there is no absolute quarantine in Panama, as people have certain days to go out and buy their food.

“We measure day by day how the behavior is going and if we behave well, with fairness and responsibility this weekend the men will use their day -Saturday shopping day she said.- he assured.
